Thursday 26th November is Carers Rights Day. This year’s theme is ‘know your rights’.
This day is dedicated to raising awareness and ensuring all carers know and understand their rights and entitlements. Whether you are new to a caring role or have been in a caring role for a while, it is important that you understand what you are entitled to and what support is available around you.
Whatever stage of your caring journey you’re at, you need to know your rights: whether they are in the workplace, in a healthcare setting, when interacting with professionals or at home.
Here at Suffolk Carers Matter, we are holding a virtual coffee and cake session on Thursday 26th November. Our two wonderful Carer Support and Community Engagement Executives, Sharon and Vicki will be hosting the session to allow all carers to access information, support and advice in a friendly and relaxed setting.
Sharon and Vicki will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, whether it’s about your right to a carers assessment, your right to a voice or just to get to know them better, they will be there for you.
10:30 – 11:30 am Facebook Live, Suffolk Carers Matter Thursday 26th November.
We look forward to seeing you!
